Turn Off the Violence is an international violence prevention campaign that began in 1991 in Minnesota. Since then, thousands of individuals and hundreds of organizations have participated in efforts to spread the campaign and reduce violence in all its ugly forms... physical violence, sexual violence, verbal violence, domestic violence, gang violence, violence in entertainment, hate crimes, and playground violence.

We believe that by working together, we can share knowledge, resources, and strength to make changes in our lives and, ultimately, in society. We invite you to join us in beginning to turn off the violence in our lives...

... one day at a time.

Violence is a learned behavior.

It can be unlearned.
